Field trip to Tai O and Ngong Ping (March 2025)

The MA in Hong Kong History Programme took learning beyond the classroom with a field trip to Tai O and Ngong Ping on 28 March 2025.

Our students and instructors spent a day on Lantau Island learning more about Tai O village, from its pre-British organization to its reshaping during and after the British period. We also explored the impact of tourism on religion in Hong Kong’s past and present through Ngong Ping and Po Lin Monastery.
