Hike from Mui Wo to Discovery Bay

Students and instructors from the MA in Hong Kong History Programme welcomed the new year with the Programme’s annual winter hike from Mui Wo to Discovery Bay on 31 January 2026.

As per our Programme tradition every winter, we hosted a hike to explore and enjoy Hong Kong in areas further afield. In addition to the Mui Wo – Discovery Bay route having various sites of historical significance en route (Mui Wo Village, Trappist Monastery, Nim Shue Wan), our group also enjoyed the natural beauty and cool weather of Hong Kong.
