Historical exhibition at the Fringe Club, Central

From 16 to 18 May 2025, students from HIST7998 (Public History Project) presented Please Turn the Page: The Unbound History of the Fringe Club at the Fringe Club in Central.

A group of students from HIST7998 (Public History Project) completed their final project in the form of a historical exhibition. This was held across three days at the Fringe Club in Central and detailed the past, present, and future of the site – from former depot of the Dairy Farm, to company headquarters, then Foreign Correspondents’ Club (north block) and Fringe Club (south block). Through interviews and archival research, students illustrated the creation and evolution of the Fringe Club as a physical space for non-mainstream ‘artists on the fringe’ to showcase their work.
