Prof. Ghassan Moazzin Promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure

The Department of History in the School of Humanities is pleased to announce that Dr. Ghassan Moazzin has been promoted to Associate Professor with tenure.

A leading scholar in modern Chinese economic, financial, and business history, Dr. Moazzin's research explores the intersection of international banking, foreign enterprise, and China's integration into the global economy during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. His acclaimed monograph, Foreign Banks and Global Finance in Modern China, has contributed significantly to historical understanding of how international financial networks shaped modern Chinese state-building, foreign relations, and financial institutions.

Dr. Moazzin's promotion reflects his continued academic leadership, dedicated teaching, and active contributions to the School of Humanities. His ongoing research projects examine economic diplomacy, transnational capital flows, and the history of financial technology in East Asia.
