OUYANG Jiaorui
PhD Student
Additional Role
Jiaorui’s research interests lie at the intersections of sport, gender, and Hong Kong history. Her current research examines how sport and other forms of physical culture served as avenues through which women from different ethnic communities in colonial Hong Kong developed a sense of belonging and negotiated social identities. Her broader research interests include the history of women's sport in modern China, with particular attention to the relationship between gender, physical culture, and social change.
